DBrown has written poetically all his life. First inspired through a poetry book by a friend of the family, Wally Knapp, DBrown wrote verse without regard to saving any of his writings. The oldest poem was found in a notebook journal for school. A few others were saved accidentally in piles of papers. DBrown claims his studies of impermanence resulted in his not saving much of his early works. Thanks to a lover, who secretly saved his writings for years and later convinced him to quit losing them so easily, DBrown has a catalogue of poetic works today.
Lyrics Catalogue
Award winning, first chair & soloist on violin in youth, DBrown did not follow along a musical path until much later in life. After many years, DBrown made a conscious decision, from the encouragement of musician friends, to write in lyrical styles to fit the music. For a decade, DBrown has taught himself the guitar to enhance the process of writing lyrics. Not originally intending to perform these songs, DBrown has been pushed to the stage as a natural progression of his artistic endeavors. He is now performing these songs in public on rare occasions.
