Hide And Seek
HIDE AND SEEK
Come show me which way it went.
I have no trail; I’ve lost the scent.
It was with me just a second ago,
Damn it, how I miss it so.
Hey, yea you, come over here.
Don’t wander off, please stay near.
Oh sorry, thought you were something else;
I can see you have derived yourself.
The bird flying ever so free
Is bound still to land or sea,
A common ground, a place to rest,
Whether family gathering or solo nest.
I could continue to babble on,
Trying to impress with cluttered song,
But the game is not over yet.
For it is sanity which eludes me,
How did you get so good at
Hide and seek!
