Grendel The Dog

GRENDEL

The Dog

Hello, hey, yo, come over here hairy

Little flapping ears and eyes so merry

Your tail is always slapping back and forth

Jumping up and down in your happy course

To bound through life, this joyous fur ball

Knows what is right, he has been given the call

Of the wild, another one of nature’s explorers:

Smelling his way, hearing the day,

And feeling good are the tools of his trade.

You glutton for affection, you hairy thing

Happy go lucky backyard king.

How did you find me?

Now come here and see,

You flapping-eared, happy-eyed, hairy old thing.
