Thoughts Of You

Flicker of a candle

Burning in the night

Vision dances rhythmic

Desire flashes bright

Golden glowing oranges

Delights my mind

Glints pale blue

Shining abyss

Into this I sink

Beyond depth’s warning

Preparing to burst

Open heart yearns to touch

Fire carelessly and rough

Must beware not to snuff

A light that burns so bright

While plunging down into depths

Cool blue pools pale in reflection

Water and fire

Body and soul

Deep I fall out of control

Grasping up towards the sun

Tendrils scatter across the water

Sinking in peaceful fright

Fire bright hair and water pale eyes

My soul wanders between

Dance with fire in water

Bubbles my heart and mind

Juxtaposed

Lost at home

Loving fear

Ignoring desire

Water and fire

Wash and burn

Clean

All I see

Is a flicker

Candle burning bright

But in my depths

Fire bubbles

Water ignites

Thoughts of you

Steam up inside
