Tye-Dye Vendor
TYE-DYE VENDOR
Once again, I sit and grin.
Wondering why, I look and sigh.
As all the people wander by,
A smile crosses my eyes.
I have been here before,
Many years until now.
With my colors a flow,
Memories breeze on through.
But there is a change,
A personal rearrange.
Unsettling the dust,
I must grin again
To the smile walking away.
Collapsing at day’s end,
My colors flow into bins
And close out my return.
Tomorrow again I will burn
Under blazing sun to yearn
For another simple smile;
Around my color pile
That will allow me to end
Another day with a grin.
